  i would request that no comments be made unless they are directly related to the challenge below.

  for those that hear voices and get special insight or information, i am asking if the voices you hear can tell you the color, pattern, slogan (if any) and style of shirt i will be wearing at the time of the challenge.

  You're wearing a striped red and white shirt with stains in the armpits. You're also not wearing any pants (or underwear...REALLY EP?!?!?), but you ARE wearing mismatched tube socks. The white sock has a hole in the big toe. The black sock has a sticky stain on it, and I'm not allowing myself to see how you got THAT one...

  I also find it interesting that because Russell didn't CALL himself a prophet, you reject the idea that he could be a false prophet. One does not need to specifically call themselves a prophet to be a false one.

  We all know Deut 18:20-22. There is nothing in the context that implies that one would need to be CALLED a prophet to be a false prophet. They just need to state as truth something that God told them. Russell claimed this. And while he DID make statements as to his infallibility, he also employed double speak and said that his dates were unchangable because they were verified by the Bible.

  Watching these videos, I've found it interesting that Russell speaks with a slight British accent (especially in that last video). Uh...is this how men tried to talk to sound intelligent back then? He was from Pennsylvania, was he not? Where did the accent come from?

  There are tons of Bible Students, Redvip. And I'm with you. I'm not sure how you can read this guy's stuff and think he had any special insight. His obsession with the pyramids is enough for me to view him as a nut, personally. But if I remember right, reslight still fully believes that the pyramids are God's stone witness.

  Evidence of Supernatural Ability

  i would be interested to hear members' views on:.

  a) what they would consider to be a supernatural ability and.

  b) what they would consider sufficient evidence to convince them it was genuine.. (it's late here so if i don't participate for the next few hours don't think i cut and run :)).

  Perhaps it was supernatural in the sense that the 'thing' which led to Creation was outside what we consider to be our 'natural' universe.

  Interesting... Yet, when I talk about a "spiritual" nature which is something outside of our natural universe, others jump on it and ask for proof. Yet they are fine with the idea of infinite big bangs, nothing from something, etc...

  When you get down to origins, you can't avoid having to question the idea of "supernatural" origins.

  NC, I don't like telling anyone that says they are Christian that they are not a Christian. But doctrinally I cannot see how one can be a Christian when they refuse communion, refuse to be known as a witness of Jesus, refuse to believe in His Lordship, and refuse to worship Him.

  That being said, I could be wrong. They do believe that Jesus is the son of God. However, as has been pointed out, so does the Devil. If He has offered the free gift of salvation by grace, and they refuse to go to Him to take it, then can they be said to be saved?

  Jesus said that belief in God wasn't what led to eternal life anyway. People have to TAKE the gift. John 5:39,40 speaks to those that refuse to go directly to Jesus to take that free gift. So if you are refusing to do what Jesus asks you to do for salvation, can you be said to be a Christian?

  Why do you follow a dead false prophet, Reslight? Why not realize he was just a man? Why not focus on the Bible instead of following after a man that has been proven to be false time and again? His dates were all flawed. 1914 or not, his 1874 prophecy was garbage. His ideas about the pyramids (which he died believing in) were garbage. His ideas about when Jerusalem was destroyed is garbage.

  Why not move on? If you want to hold on to Christianity, why not follow God as ruler rather than a man?
